The European DataBank Sustainable Development registers experts and institutions (companies, organisations, initiatives, associations, etc.) based in Europe and working in the field of sustainability. The DataBank can be used as an effective tool for making contact with people engaged in specific issues within the scope of sustainable development. All listed experts and institutions are presented with a short profile with regard to their general and specific working fields.
Because of the international approach all entries in the DataBank are generally in English. Responsible for the correctness and validity of the entries are the experts and contact persons who originally submitted the data. The DataBank takes no responsibility for the content of the entries and any links to websites on the Internet. However, the DataBank team reserves the right to check entries for suitability and validity and to adapt them to the given structure. In cases of doubt decisions would be taken after consultation with our Advisory Board.
All entries have been categorised under 43 different keywords covering the widest possible spectrum of sustainability and at the same time assist in narrowing down entries to specific subjects and activities. For the users' convenience the keywords can of course be used as search facilities for finding experts and institutions in specific fields of sustainability. Search functions of the DataBank also include the selection/combination of European countries, female and male experts and/or institutions as well as a full text search mode.
At present the number of entries in the DataBank is about 2,300. It is our aim to increase the number of entries being fully aware that this can only be achieved with the support of the DataBank users. For this reason we would like to invite you to take part in the DataBank project with your personal entry. Do not hesitate to set a link from your website to our Internet address. In case of problems, inquiries and suggestions please contact us.
